什么是SMTP?

SMTP (Simple 邮件 Transfer Protocol) refers to the protocol most servers use to handle Outgoing 电子邮件. This standard of 电子邮件 Transmission allows for external Applications and Services (such as the 邮件 Clients of Microsoft ‘Outlook’, Apple ‘Mail’等)向服务器发出请求,以将电子邮件发送给目标收件人。

的Applications and Services you use to send your 电子邮件s would by default need to be sent using their own server, or one likely different to your own. This raises two potential issues:

的port is where your SMTP server looks to for requests, the most commonly used are 25, 465 and 587 though they could be any other number. Below are the typical SMTP ports for common 邮件 Service Providers:

的method of authentication between the sender and recipient servers to establish a means to convert the message from being viewable as plain text, typically these are either SSL协议, TLS, or STARTTLS. Below are the typically expected 加密s for common 邮件 Service Providers:

Please note, 卡什流 does not currently accept the defining of STARTTLS encryption. This can typically be substituted for TLS, though you will need to confirm with your 邮件 Service Provider if this is possible.

  1. 导航“Settings” > “SMTP Configuration”

问题

“我在设置中看不到SMTP配置”
如果您使用的是Classic 卡什流应用程序,则不会选择此选项。新功能将仅包含在当前KashFlow应用程序中,并且此过程不会更改。

“The SMTP配置 is greyed out”
如果您正在试用KashFlow,则将无法使用SMTP配置。

“The Test 电子邮件 alerts me that it sent successfully but I do not receive anything.”
These are often hard to truly diagnose from our end, and it is almost always best to refer to your 邮件 Service Provider to inquire why the relay has failed as they will have logs of the attempt, which should include some description as to why the server refused to relay. However, it is not uncommon for mail servers to reject relaying an email if what you have recorded for the 发件人 Details “Name” and “Email”与为服务器/邮箱记录的内容不匹配,因此可以很好地确保这些信息正确。

“Why does my 邮件 Service Provider also list IMAP and POP3 settings?”
Incoming 电子邮件 is typically handled by the IMAP and POP3 protocols, though as the capacity to handle Incoming 邮件 is not a feature of 卡什流 these will not be discussed further in this 文章.
